Patients Know Best (PKB) allows you to share access to your record with someone you trust, or to access the record of someone you care for.

The steps you need to follow depend on whose record you are trying to access.

Accessing your child's record

If you are trying to access your child's PKB record, you may need to contact the healthcare organisation responsible for their record so they can arrange the appropriate access.

The process can vary depending on the child's age and whether they already have a PKB record.

Accessing the record of someone who doesn't have an email address or isn't registered with PKB

If the person you care for doesn't have their own email address, isn't registered with PKB, or is unable to manage their own account, please contact the healthcare organisation responsible for their record.

They can advise you about the appropriate access arrangements and any information they need from you.

Adding a carer to your own PKB record

If you have your own PKB record and would like to give a family member, friend or carer access, you can invite them directly from your record.

Log in to PKB and go to:

Sharing → Friends/Family → Add carers

From here, you can invite your carer and choose what information they are able to see.
