Forgotten your NHS Login password?
If you can’t remember your NHS login password, here’s how to reset it:
- Go to the NHS login page.
- Click ‘Forgotten your password?’ under the login box.
- Enter your registered email address.
- Check your inbox for a password reset email and click the link within 1 hour.
- Follow the instructions to create a new password.

What If the reset link doesn’t work?
If the password reset link isn’t working, it might be because:
- The link has expired: Reset links expire after 1 hour. Request a new link by returning to the NHS login page and following the steps above.
- The link has already been used: If you’ve already reset your password, try logging in with the new one.
- The link appears broken: Double-check you’ve clicked the full link. If copying the link, ensure no characters are missing.

Can’t access your email address?

Logging in with a passkey
Passkeys let you log in quickly using your device’s authentication (e.g., fingerprint or Face ID).
- If using a device with your passkey, simply enter your email and follow the device prompts.
- If you’re on a different device, choose ‘Use a different phone or tablet’ and scan the QR code displayed.
