Here’s how to reset your Patients Know Best (PKB) password and regain access to your record.
The easiest way to reset your PKB password is by requesting for a password reset link, which is sent to the email address linked to your patient record.
If you’re unable to access your email or your reset attempts aren’t working, we’ll guide you through alternative steps to regain access.
Login using NHS Login
If you’ve previously accessed Patients Know Best with your NHS login, you can click the blue 'Login with NHS login' button on our sign in page:
Reset Your Password Using the Email Link
- Go to the Patients Know Best login page: my.patientsknowbest.com.
- Click 'Forgot Password' beneath the password field.
- Enter your registered email address and click 'Next'
- Check your email inbox for a message from Patients Know Best. Click the link in the email to reset your password.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to create a new password.

What to do if you don't receive the email
If the reset email doesn’t arrive:
- Check the spam or junk folder of your email inbox.
- Confirm that you’re using the same email address registered to your PKB record.
If you’re still unable to proceed, contact your NHS Trust or care provider. They may need to verify your identity and assist with resetting your password. Please use the map below to search for their contact details.
Please note: Patients Know Best can't reset your password or access your password details or security information. If the password reset doesn't work, please get in touch with your healthcare provider for help.
