Patients Know Best (PKB) gives you secure access to your health information. If you decide that you no longer want to use the service, there are a few options available.
De-registration
If you no longer wish to use Patients Know Best (PKB), your record can be de-registered.
De-registration removes your email address from your PKB record. This means:
- You will no longer be able to log in to your record.
- You will no longer receive email notifications relating to activity on your currently registered PKB account.
- Your healthcare team can still update your record with information relating to your care.
If your email address is added back to your record by a healthcare organisation in the future, you may be invited to register again.
To request de-registration, please contact the healthcare organisation responsible for your PKB record using the contact details below.
Deletion
PKB record
Deletion may be possible in some circumstances, depending on the type and source of the information in your record. Any decision to delete clinical data sits with the healthcare organisation(s) that provided it.

GP data
If you have retrieved a copy of your GP data into your PKB record through Patient Facing Services, you can ask PKB to delete that copy if you wish.
Please find your healthcare organisation below and contact them directly to request de-registration or deletion of your PKB record.
If your healthcare organisation is not listed, please contact Patients Know Best Support and let us know which NHS Trust or healthcare organisation you are under the care of. We'll help direct your request to the appropriate team.
