Please noteThe Patients Know Best support team cannot provide information about your appointments or send appointment letters.

If you’ve received an appointment in your patient record but haven’t yet received the corresponding letter, don’t worry, this can sometimes happen.

In some cases, hospitals or healthcare providers may upload appointment details to your record before sending the appointment letter. The letter typically follows within a day or so and will either:

  • Be uploaded to your patient record under the Events & messages section, or
  • Be sent to you in the post.

What to do next

If your appointment is showing in your record but the letter has not yet arrived, we recommend waiting a week for the letter to reach you. Once it does, it will include important details such as the location of your appointment, any specific instructions, and contact details for the clinic or department.

Still waiting for the letter?

If the letter does not arrive within a week, or you need more details about the appointment urgently, please contact your healthcare provider directly. You can find their contact details on their website or in any previous communications from them.
